Map preview: Tycho's House of pain

As soon as I got my copy of Halo: Reach I knew I wanted to revisit the maps that I had built in Halo 3's forge. These Maps were in hindsight horrible adaptations of what I was inspired by in the first place. In the beginning stages of my forge experience I decided not to use geomerging. This was a decision made by determining the amount of time it would take for 1 person to forge what I wanted and sheer laziness.

As soon as I got past the learning curve between the old and new I decided to start on my first map A New Parallel (Coming Soon!) Inspired by Marathon: Durandal's 16th Parallel. So far this has turned out very nice and fit the dimensions I need it to.

With my ADD raging on I quickly worked my way into a corner with A New Parallel and started on my second map Tycho's House of Pain. This map Is inspired by the Marathon Durandal Map House of Pain. Here I learned new lessons and made both House of pain and A New Parallel better maps in that time. After getting a style down, building and ditching Ideas I think I have the final product (geographically, This Is Pre-Play testing).

Last Comic Standing 7.

So here is what I think...2 of the 3 judges don't deserve to be judging these up and coming comics.

Kindler is someone who has stated he does not like short jokes that are tied together with segways. This is where some great comics come from, and I don't feel that his special wasn't even that funny. now this is where i wonder why he cares about what i have to say, he blatantly nerfs facebook in his set. This is where I state I am not speaking to kindler or telling him how to be a comedian I am talking to the producers. PLEASE do not sign him on for another season.

The middle judge is to say it bluntly, a little bitchy. I haven't even tried to remember her name. most of the time she comments on some of the things the contestants do that don't even matter to the entire scope of their set. She also says some things are bad that were actually quite funny. this may be detrimental to the comedian in the long run because It may take the confidence of the comedian away. Don't sign her for a another season.

Greg is doing a great job! He knows what he is talking about. He finds the kinks in other great long standing comedians armor at least once a year as a job. I feel like since he is the last comedian judge in the lineup that he doesn't get time to fully state what he thought of the current contestant. Sign him on next season and give him more time to judge.

Now I know that I don't have much push when it comes to what the network does or does not do. but I am your audience, I may be just one person but I know that I am not the only one that feels like this. It feels like when Flashforward got canceled and V got renewed. V has no sense of humor/Comic relief and is just so dry I cant stand it (and I know NBC has no control over that either). I have this feeling and long standing hope that the show in the long run will get better. Not this season but next season will get better, But I still have to ache and groan through this one.

After last season and noticing that if the show had not been cut off early by the olympics the winner would not have won the way she did.

Some comics moving on this season seem to be just fodder for the early rounds. why not make it the best of the best and not the best of a group of ok's with great sprinkled on top.

If you like either kindler or the girl judge go ahead and like them. I wont.

Thank you for your time.
Tycho Bob.

Anticipation

There was a feeling of anticipation that I had about a year before Halo 3 was released. Being a long time fan of bungie and the fact that I played Marathon as a young child affected me, so obviously anything bungie releases I will be there waiting to get a slice.

Now that i think of it I was about the age of the kids that play Halo 3 with their high pitched voices in my marathon years, but when I was that age I had none of the animosity that is in games today. Its almost like talking shit has become second nature to most gamers. I will admit that sometimes i'll let it fly and when I say I have been playing games since you were in diapers and you say "dude, we're the same age!" I'm still right!

Back to the point the feeling of anticipation. It just kicked in in full force for Reach. just knowing that bungie will feed us little tiny bits of information over the coming months makes me to say the least giddy. I feel that if I in the future can supply one person with this amount of giddiness i will have done my job right.

It is the feeling to jump out of your seat and go to bungie and get it now, but there is a line in people who do that and people who don't and I am happy to be sitting on the latter side.

It is that feeing of being 24 to 24 in a team doubles match.

It is the infamous duo that was Tycho Bob and Musketeer One.

It is knowing that the thing you anticipate will give you things to anticipate
that you wont know about until you get it.

Its getting an entire team of friends for a big team battle.

Its getting the first headshot to open the game.

What is it to you?

Peace
Tycho Bob
